Ever since I was young, Christmas stories have held a special place in my heart. There’s something truly enchanting about the season—the warmth, joy, and love that seem to fill the air. And when you combine that with the charm of a good story? It’s absolutely irresistible! Can you relate?

Interview with Misty

Have you experienced writer’s block, and how do you handle it?

Oh yes. I think I’ve experienced every form of writer’s block possible, including extreme burnout at times. I’ve learned that I need to be regularly refilling my creative well with books, time outside, etc. Also, taking care of my body is critical for my mind to work (sleep, exercise, etc.). One of the most helpful things for me on the days the words are hard is sprinting with a few writer friends. We join a Zoom call and write for 20 minutes, then report back to each other on our progress. That can usually help me break through a block when nothing else can. They’re also great brainstorming buddies!

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

I just finished writing book #50. It’s hard to believe there have been so many! Each story still feels so special and unique. Each is my favorite. LOL.

In all honesty, it really is hard to pick a favorite. Maybe This Treacherous Journey? I still feel deeply connected to Simeon and Emma, though it’s been nine years since I wrote their story.

How long does it take you to write a book?

At this point in my writing career, I usually finish a book in about two months. I write nearly every day for several hours a day, and I have my process pretty developed. J

Where can readers find out more about you and your books?

I love to connect with readers! One of my favorite ways is through my newsletter, and readers can get a free copy of one of my ebooks when they sign up for the newsletter. Here’s the link for that: https://mistymbeller.com/freebook

Any current or upcoming projects you’d like to tell us about?

I’m SO excited about my next series, Lords of the Rockies! It’s about five brothers who are sons of an English duke, but were sent to the Montana Rockies when they were boys when a threat was made on their lives. They’ve grown up building the Balfour Ranch in the mountain wilderness, and now their father is pushing them to take wives… Book 1, Mail-Order Duchess, releases November 4!
