C.B. Caleb Woodworth Interview Questions – Kisses from Heaven Book 3

When did you first realize your desire to be a writer?

I’m unsure if that ever happened. When the Lord urged me to replay all His God Stories from the past, it was like a snowball rolling downhill picking up stories on the way. To this day, I hope I have been a scribe over the years. I never took a writing course, and freshman English taught me that my sentences were too wordy and my word choices suspect. Not sure a lot has changed. His stories are timeless and testimonies to His goodness. It’s what we all need to keep going where He wishes. An encounter a day and a “Kiss from Heaven” keeps the devil away.

How long did it take you to write a book?

Well, three books took twenty-two years. So, on the average, a little more than seven years per book.

When did you write your first book and how old were you?

I started the Kisses from Heaven series when I was sixty-two in 2002 and put the finishing touches on them all (as a trilogy) when I was eighty-five in 2024.

What do you do when you are not writing?

Emily and I work with the brokenhearted, afflicted and needy wherever we go. It is our mission in life to see those folks meet their healer and walk free from their prisons of pain. We are but facilitators helping arrange those meetings where Holy Spirit comes and does what He does best. And we have only to watch it happen. Seems almost miraculous. Because it is.

Do you base your characters on real people?

All of my God Stories in the Kisses from Heaven series are my real-life experiences written to the best of my recollection, and the characters are all real. Some have passed on, many are still with us, but each and every one has made an incredible impact on my life. I hope their stories and mine will be an inspiration to those who read them.
