Welcome to Mystery Monday with Addie Masters.
Each Monday, I will share a mystery question, a riddle, or a brain teaser. Use the comment section to make a guess. The following week, I will post the correct answer and the next puzzle.
Answer for Puzzle #2
The two men were in it together. The first one buys the statue, then talks up the value of a twin piece to the seller. Then the second comes in to sell the same piece back to the buyer. Instead of gaining $800 profit, he’s lost $200.
Puzzle #3
Cousin Josie
“I have a cousin,” says Addie, “who works at a local hotel. She’s the manager, actually. Every morning at exactly 7 o’clock, she makes her way down the stairs. When she reaches her destination, she makes herself a cup of coffee, then settles in to watch the morning news. I know for a fact she doesn’t get through the first report before she falls asleep, and there she remains for the next eight hours. Hurricane alarms would have a hard time waking Josie once she’s out. But I also know that her bosses are pleased with her work ethic. How do you think this can be?”
Okay, amateur sleuths. Comment below with your response, then check back next week to see if you’re right!

She works the 11 p.m. to 7 a.m shift.
