Welcome to Wonderin’ Wednesday, a new series with my blogging friends, thanks to Jessica Baker at A Baker’s Perspective. These will be weekly post for you to learn more about me, the blogger behind Stories By Gina and other bloggers. Each week I will answer a new question about me or my blog.
Today’s Question- Why did I start blogging?
Stories By Gina is not my first attempt at a blog. It’s actually my third. I also once had The Happy Holder Hut and The 6th Street Bistro. Neither blog gained more than a handful of followers and it quickly fizzled out.
I started the “Stories By Gina” blog as a website to help promote me and my books as I became an independently published author. I knew I needed to establish an audience and a readership by connecting with people on social media. My second thought was if I wanted support from other authors, I needed to do the same for them. I couldn’t ask someone to do something for me I was not willing to do for them. In the fall of 2017, I reviewed my first book, and the blog has been steadily growing ever since.
OK, so, the free books… definitely a plus.
