For 2020, I have chosen Isiah 41:10 as my personal verse. This lead into a theme for this year’s “His Encouragement” posts. Each week, I will look at another “fear not” Scripture of the Bible. I hope that as we journey together through these verses that we all will learn a little more about trusting God and rooting out the fear in our lives.
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
Isaiah 41:13 KJV
Can you think of anything more comforting than someone holding your hand? Besides the need to eat and sleep, it’s one of our most basic instincts. From the time we are born our tiny hands clasp onto our parent’s fingers. As we learn to walk, we hang onto their hands. Little girls especially, hold hands with their best friends as they skip along at play. Young people when they have feelings towards each other want to hold each other’s hands.. When we are afraid or upset, we desire for someone to hold our hand, maybe even squeeze just to remind us they’re right there with us.
Have you ever thought about God holding your hand? Many songs have been written about this topic, so at least a “few” people have thought about it. There are many reasons we could need His help in our lives and right here He promises to hold our hand and give us the help that we need.
Do you need Him to hold your hand today? You know, when you’re holding someone’s hand, you stay right beside them. Whatever you are going through today, this week, this month, this year!, He is right beside you, holding your hand, and saying “Fear not, I will help you.”

I absolutely love you post today. I think I often forget the Father side of God and focus more on the BIG, creation-making, miracle-doing, all-powerful side of God. He really is our Abba. He really is right there ready to take our hand and guide through our days. Thank you for the reminder!
