I’ve joined my blogging friends for a new facet of my blog, called His Encouragement, inspiring scriptures shared each Thursday. My hope and my prayer is that these scriptures each week will bless your heart and encourage your soul.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psalms 100:4 KJV

When I think of verses about thanksgiving, this is probably the first one that comes to my mind. To me, it sums up the whole purpose behind this holiday.

The pilgrims gathered together for a meal to THANK GOD for the harvest that would carry them through the harsh winter.

So, my encouragement today is that before you get caught up in the feasting and the football, remember to worship and come into His Presence with thanksgiving. Thank Him for all his blessings that he has rained down on you this year.
