Top Ten Tuesday-Childhood Favorites or Passing on my Love of Books.

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday on Stories By Gina. Thank you for joining me for another Top Ten Tuesday with The Artsy Reader.

Today’s Tot Ten Tuesday Theme is childhood favorites. I’ve loved books for as long as I can remember. When I was a child, my family used to bring a laundry basket with us to the library to carry our books home. Each week, when we brought them back, the librarians marveled that we had actually read all of them.

When I began looking up books for this post, I was overwhelmed with memories of reading these books: by myself, with my family, at library story times… It really is amazing how books stick with you your whole life. I had a hard time cutting this down to ten… we’ll see if may be a few more than that.

So let me share some of my favorite childhood reads with you. Maybe you will go on and share these beautiful books with your children.

Lion is Down in the Dumps looks like a great read. I also appreciate the fact that it seems to be talking about how normal it is to have a bad day sometimes. That’s a lesson that kids need to hear. Heck, that’s a lesson I need to hear every once in a while. Haha.

    My TTT.

I remember reading Mike Mulligan and we did an entire unit in elementary school on The Mitten – I think it was a puppet show? Both were really fun books!
