Thank you for joining me for another Top Ten Tuesday with The Artsy Reader.

Today’s theme is Unpopular Bookish Opinions. It took a bit of thought, but I was able to come up with ten bookish opinions that I have that may or may not be popular with the masses. Remember, it’s just an opinion. Even if we don’t agree, can we still be friends?
#1: Dog-earring pages is a perfectly acceptable way to bookmark.
#2: Swear words and sex scenes don’t belong. (That includes all euphemisms.)
#3: There is such a thing as too much kissing.
#4: The more popular a book is, the less likely I am to have read it.
#5: It’s acceptable to mix cover designs and hardcover/paperback in order to complete a series on your bookshelf.
#6: I’ve never read a book that was “too preachy”.
#7: I don’t have “book boyfriends.”
#8: Most of the time I like the movie better than the book.
#9: I don’t read secular fiction and I rarely read books labeled simply as “clean” fiction.
#10: While I enjoying reading, I also enjoy a great many other things. Life isn’t all about what book I’ll be reading next.
I appreciate not being tarred and feathered by the bookish community. Do you have any unpopular bookish opinions you’d like to share?

I think it’s a great idea to have lots of different hobbies. I love to read, but I also love hiking, lifting weights, and photography. Balance is key.
My TTT.
