My Soul wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, he is my defense, I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory, the rock of my strength and my refuge is in God, Trust in him at all times ye people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.

My expectation is from him.

Today, we are talking about expectations. Life is full of expectations. We have expectations of our spouse and vice versa. We expect things from our children and vice versa. From our government to the cashier in a supermarket, we all have expectations of each other.

The Psalmist here had expectations of his God. What are you expecting God to do in your life? Anything? Are you waiting in faith and expectation that he can do great things for you and through you?

However, there is only One Persons expectations on you with which we should be concerned. What are God’s expectations for you? Are you concerned with His expectations for your life? How he expects you to live as His child? Are you fulfilling His expectations for you?
