Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1Peter 5:7 KJV
Are you burdened with a lot of care? Weighed down with burdens too heavy for you to carry? Jesus tells us to cast all our cares, all our burdens, on him. Because he cares for us. He is strong enough to carry any burden. Our God has shoulders big enough to carry any trouble that is weighing you down.
When I read this verse, I’m reminded of a little chorus that goes like this:
I cast all my cares upon you. I lay all of my burdens down at your feet. And any time I don’t know what to do, I will cast all my cares upon you.
Lay your burdens down and allow Him to carry them for you. His shoulders are big enough.

I love this post today! Such an excellent reminder for me. It’s been a seriously stressful first quarter at my school. I definitely need to be better about casting my cares. For some odd reason, I just hold on so tightly to my burdens.

I know that song well, Gina! I am so thankful that God doesn’t leave us here to work out our own problems. He comes along side us, and carries our burdens. He loves us so much! Thank you for sharing this verse today!

This is definitely a verse I need to keep in mind more often. I hold onto a lot and often feel overwhelmed but I need to remember the Lord’s presence and control over each and every situation. Thanks for sharing this!
