About the Author
Hannah Linder resides in the beautiful mountains of central West Virginia. Represented by Books & Such, she writes Regency romantic suspense novels filled with passion, secrets, and danger. She is a four-time Selah Award winner, a 2023 Carol Award semi-finalist, a 2023 Angel Book Award third place winner, and a member of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW). Also, Hannah is an international and multi-award-winning graphic designer who specializes in professional book cover design. She designs for both traditional publishing houses and individual authors, including New York Times, USA Today, and international bestsellers. She is also a self-portrait photographer of historical fashion. When Hannah is not writing, she enjoys playing her instruments—piano, guitar, ukulele, and banjolele—songwriting, painting still life, walking in the rain, square dancing, and sitting on the front porch of her 1800s farmhouse.

Interview with Hannah
Q: How long does it take you to write a book?
A: This varies a bit depending on life circumstances and deadlines (I once hurried down a full-length novel in four months . . . not exactly fun), but my average time is around nine to eleven months.
Q: What is your real-life work schedule like when writing?
A: My writing time is usually first thing in the morning! Still snuggled in bed, still yawning, I flip open my laptop and get my brain stirring for the day with an hour or two of writing.
Q: What are your favorite books to read?
A: I always dig a fast-moving, nail-biting romantic suspense book! Although lately, I have been dipping my toes into the rom-com genre.
Q: When did you write your first book and how old were you?
A: I wrote my first novel at twelve! Although I’m still teased for calling a kiss an “it” and thinking a petticoat was something my character could shrugged into before stepping into the cold…my family all still showered me with unending support. I’m so thankful they championed my childhood dream.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
A: I love walking in the rain. Sounds dramatic, I know, but there’s really no sensation quite so thrilling as ambling through a rain-glistened field during a warm afternoon, with raindrops pelting your face. I also enjoy historical self-portrait photography, painting still-life, reading/memorizing 1800s poetry, playing instruments, sitting on the front porch of my farmhouse, and square dancing late into any summer night.
Q: How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
A: I’ve written sixteen books, five of which are traditionally published—and I bounce between Garden of the Midnights and The Girl from the Hidden Forest as my favorite.
