My Thoughts
If you have a visually impaired child in your life that you can read to, or you want to teach your children to better understand those who are different than them, I highly recommend this adorable picture book from Mary Ann Hake. A sweet, creative, unique concept of describing the season of Fall through the sense of smell. You and your children can experience the seasons through the nose of a blind girl, who takes us on a wonderful journey to show us how beautiful the world can be, even when we can’t use our eyes. This book will remind us how much the sighted take for granted with adorable illustrations and creative prose. “See” the Fall Season in a way you never have before!

Mary Ann Hake
Mary Ann Hake has loved learning, reading, and writing for as long as she can remember. She has been scribbling stories and poems since she first learned to write and has published hundreds of stories, articles, poems, puzzles, devotions, and more for both children and adults plus written hundreds of book reviews. She loved working in a bookstore and as a librarian and enjoyed reading to children at story times and conducting summer reading programs. She has also taught writing to children and at writers’ conferences. In addition to writing, she continues to work as a freelance editor.
