Ivy sets off in pursuit, not just to save the manuscript but to save the vulnerable girl, who was previously trafficked and has no idea what she’s getting herself into.

Joining forces with Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long, Ivy must battle a blizzard, sabotage, and the worst of an Alaskan winter as the search goes on. But every answer they find only raises more questions–and the danger to their lives and to the missing girl may only be the tip of the iceberg. Don’t miss this breathtaking race for truth set amid the glorious–and deadly–Glacier Bay from USA Today bestselling author Elizabeth Goddard.

My Thoughts

Wow! What a phenomenal ending to the Missing in Alaska series by Elizabeth Goddard. This is the first book I’ve read by Goddard, and it won’t be my last. I’ve already bought the first two books in the series as well! I was transported to the icy state of Alaska where geography is as much an obstacle as the bad guys. My interest was first piqued when I read the note about a rare-book collector and a secret manuscript. But this adventure went far beyond my expectations. I enjoyed the unexpected twists and harrowing situations the characters find themselves in. I was invested in the search for Danna and was on the edge of my seat as they battled the villains.

This book read fine as a stand-alone, but it seemed like several times it alluded to something that might have happened in the previous books. Several of the characters continue through the entire series, so I think it story would be best captured overall if read in order. I highly recommend the Missing in Alaska series to lovers of Romantic Suspense. I think this series is a good start for someone new to the genre as it sticks more to physical danger compared to emotional or psychological thrillers.
