Share something your readers wouldn’t know about you.

I joined the Bible quiz team at my church one year in high school (only one year!) and was the worst member of the team. We were studying II Peter and I only learned one verse: II Peter 5:2, and only the first part of the verse. It was down to the final question, the winning question, and all the good players were out already having answered their allotted questions. The question was, “According to II Peter 5:2, be what?” and I buzzed in first. You could visibly see (and hear) the groans of my friends, thinking I had just lost them the championship. I answered, “Be shepherds of God’s flock” and to my surprise, the judges took that as a correct answer after deliberating for what seemed like forever. (I now know I should have finished with “Be shepherds of God’s flock who are under your care.) To this day, I will never forget II Peter 5:2, but no one was more stunned than me that I answered correctly the winning question.

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Encourager, tenacious, devoted

What book is currently on your bedside table?

I’m currently finishing Robin Patchen’s newest book, Too Steep a Mountain. Next I’m going to delve into Kara Hunt’s latest book, Lydia. Love these authors.

Any current or upcoming projects you’d like to tell us about?

I’m currently writing the last book in The Redemption of Green Pines series: tentatively titled, Redemption Full Circle. I’m loving this book. We revisit Shawn, Holly’s oldest brother whom we met in Adventure’s Invitation but have seen multiple times since then. While this book focuses on him, it also ties up all the loose ends of the other characters…or does it? In real life sometimes we’re left with question marks. While I’m going to fiercely miss this town and my friends, I’m loving writing the ending of this story.
