For 2020, I have chosen Isiah 41:10 as my personal verse. This lead into a theme for this year’s “His Encouragement” posts. Each week, I will look at another “fear not” Scripture of the Bible. I hope that as we journey together through these verses that we all will learn a little more about trusting God and rooting out the fear in our lives.
Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
Isaiah 44:8 KJV
Have things ever been outside of your control?
I know. It’s a rhetorical question. We’ve all had multiple things in our lives that have been completely out of our control and out of control, especially this year it seems.
Today’s post is just a reminder that amid all of this God is still God. In fact, he’s the only God. He is over all and above all.
And we are witnesses to his wondrous works among the children of men!
Think about all the things you’ve seen God do in your life.
Still having trouble?
Take a breath.
He sustains the very air you need to breathe.
Place your hand on your chest. Feel that heartbeat.
He keeps that thing pumping over and over, minute by minute.
Why fear? He is God and there is none else. I know not any. And I am a witness to his amazing power, but also his love and care!
