About the Book:

Just for the girls in your life, ages 8 and up, this collection of 100 extraordinary stories of women of faith–from the Bible, history, and today–will empower them to know and understand how women have made a difference in the world and how much smaller our faith (and the biblical record) would be without them. Featuring full-page, colorful illustrations alongside the true stories of amazing women like Lydia, Naomi, Rahab, Rebekah, Jane Austen, Corrie ten Boom, Bethany Hamilton, Rosa Parks, Mother Teresa, and dozens more, the stories of these 100 women will encourage and inspire girls to become the world-changers God created them to be.

Lydia’s Thoughts:

I like this book. I like the colors, pictures, and the way it’s written and explained. There are girls and women in this book that are very important. They are good models for being brave, patient, a Christian, and being a hard-working girl. These are women of faith. I like having a person that can show faith, courage, and responsibility.

Mom’s Thoughts:

100 Extraordinary Stories for Courageous Girls: Unforgettable tales of Women of Faith. This book is as extraordinary and unforgettable as its title! I love the colors chosen for the cover, the pink, teal, and navy give the book a feminine style for the modern girl without being old-fashioned. I love the addition of the ribbon bookmark, so places can easily be marked. It’s the perfect book for reading together or alone. It would work great as a reading book, information for school reports, or as part of family or morning devotions.
This book covers women from Bible times (starting with Eve) all the way through the modern era (Elisabeth Elliot and Bethany Hamilton). It shares the life stories of nurses, missionaries, public speakers, and martyrs. These women are touching the world with the faith they have or had in God and in Jesus Christ. This book covers women from all nationalities and ethnic groups. The illustrations are phenomenal. The biographies are short, easy to read, and end with a personal application.
I recommend this book for anyone who loves studying women of faith and their stories, or anyone with a young girl in their life that they would love to encourage to be Courageous in their walk with the Lord.
Disclaimer: This book is written for general Christianity, not for any particular denomination. Also, it has a scripture verse at the bottom at each page that is not KJV.
